Unfortunatley, I have so many different user names/passwords/email addresses that somehow I misplaced the information that allows me to access my old ENGL 338 blog. So here is the new one!

Group Project Reflection
The process of researching Jamaican Standard English, or
JSA, was rather difficult to most people surprise. The fact that there exists a
difference between Jamaican Standard English and the national Jamaican language
of Patois, (which is strictly speaking a Creole language) brought about some
complications regarding our research. I was tasked with finding the current
usage and influence of JSA, to which I found several interesting facts. Facts
like; the use of JSA has been slowly influencing Standard English through pop
culture, media, and entertainment; government officials, the highly educated,
and any formal communication like radio, television, or news typically use JSA.
Above all, this presentation was very interesting as well as informative.
